Every year University College organises a range of virtual and in-person events for our friends and alumni, to help bring our community together. This is a great opportunity to meet with your old friends or make new ones. Our events are open to everyone – whether you studied with us last year or 50 years ago!
Castle London Gathering
Wednesday 11th September
Professor Wendy Powers warmly invites you to an evening of drinks, canapés and connection with University College Durham Alumni. Join us in the opulent Leighton House and explore the eclectic home of one of Britain’s finest artists. Connect with Castle friends and discover the latest developments at University College all while taking in the priceless collection of tiles and stately Victorian grandeur spilling out into the historic gardens.
Choir Celebration
On Thursday 22nd August, University College Chapel Choir will be singing at evensong in Westminster Abbey 5pm. All are most welcome to attend and are invited to join the Choir following the service, at The Sanctuary House Hotel to celebrate their success and build connections between different generations. The 2025 Durham Castle Society will be the 11th – 13th of April booking details to follow.
We are always looking for volunteers who would like to help by organising events for Castle and Durham alumni locally or by providing venues for alumni gatherings in London or other cities in the UK or abroad. If you feel that this might be something you might be able to offer, please let us know.
