Every year University College organises a range of virtual and in-person events for our friends and alumni, to help bring our community together. This is a great opportunity to meet with your old friends or make new ones. Our events are open to everyone – whether you studied with us last year or 50 years ago!

We are always looking for volunteers who would like to help by organising events for Castle and Durham alumni locally or by providing venues for alumni gatherings in London or other cities in the UK or abroad. If you feel that this might be something you might be able to offer, please let us know.
London Get Together
Join us for an informal opportunity to mingle, meet some fellow London-based alumni and find out about what’s going on at Castle. A welcome drink and light refreshments provided.

Norwich Gathering
A rare opportunity to explore Norwich School’s historic grounds, meet Professor Wendy Powers, learn more about the College and our future plans, and connect with fellow alumni over drinks and light refreshments.

Castle Spaceflight Premiere
We’re excited to invite our alumni to a premiere of Castle Spaceflight: the Movie, which will feature a film screening, Q&A with the Castle Spaceflight team (including the former president, Benjamin Kolicic) and a chance to see the actual bear that went into space!

We warmly invite you to join us for a truly special Alumni Reunion weekend, celebrating the enduring spirit of Durham and the unique community of University College. Whether you graduated in recent years or many decades ago, this is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni, reflect on your time at Castle, and relive cherished memories in a setting that has shaped generations.
The weekend will feature a series of thoughtfully curated events, from a nostalgic afternoon tea at the historic Lumley Castle to an elegant formal dinner in the Castle’s magnificent Great Hall. Every moment is designed to foster connection, celebrate shared experiences, and honour the remarkable legacy of our College community. We look forward to welcoming you back to Castle for a weekend of inspiration, friendship, and celebration across the years.
